Explaining why the public servants were picked out for the reward, Amosun stated that it was simply to show that hard work and dedication to duty pays. He explained that in the case of Adekoya, she was picked for the reward because of her selfless and untiring service as a traffic officer.

“Come rain, come sunshine, she is always at her duty post working and she never knew that I was noticing her,” the governor said.

In his keynote address, Amosun said the estate was named after the first Head of Service in the state, explaining that the allocation was in fulfillment of his promise to public servants as it was also to promote his administration’s affordable housing scheme.

Amosun said: “Let me also use this opportunity to call on genuine individuals and corporate organizations to partner with us.”
